I am American and recently my wife in Korea asked for a divorce.  We were married in Korea January 17, 2017.    There's actually no reason for a divorce as we have had a loving relationship and made plans for our future.  I have no clue as to how the process works and a few questions which come to mind. 1. Do I need to fly to Korea to attend court for processing or is it a simple signature with paperwork?  2.  The visa process in the US has not been reviewed yet and I know that eventually I will need to pull everything if this divorce  is truly what she wants.  3.  If I am married in Korea am I married in the USA?.  I appreciate any form of help on this matter.

thank you
