IGVC-Korean Language Classes, Classes from 5 April 2021 / Online and Yongsan-gu, Seoul


 
DATE: Tests/Registration in from 23 March 2021 / Classes begin week of Monday 05 April 2021 and run 10 weeks
TIME: See below for test times / Class times/dates according to level (see attached)
COST: Classes are free of charge / Students must purchase the textbook
VENUE: ONLINE or Itaewon Global Village Center, Room 504 Hannam Bldg., 211 Itaewon-ro (5F Hannam Bldg., 737-37 Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul

NOTE: Registration for the 2021 Second Quarter of Korean Classes at the Itaewon Global Village Center was held last month (March). However, there are still classes with spaces left. Those who want to register for classes must take the level test. Please note that the classes have started on April 5th. Also, Absolute Beginner Classes are all full and are not open for late registration.

In order to take the level test, you must make a reservation: Contact Grace or Sara for the reservation:

DESCRIPTION: The classes are open to foreign residents, aged 18 and over, who have an ARC or SOFA stamps that does not expire prior to 16 June 2021. Class schedule attached. Note that taking the test does not guarantee you a spot. Registrations and testing will be done online only. Classes may eventually be online so don't register if you cannot participate in an online class.

All Levels (Absolute Beginner 1 - Intermediate) 
Wednesday 25 March (Registration online / application link will be posted on the IGVC website on 25 March at 9AM). First Come, First Served

Level Test: Those who have studied Korean language before / those who want to register for Absolute Beginner 2 – Intermediate 2 classes:
Test: Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 March.  Pre-registration for test is required. Note that taking the test does not guarantee a spot in the class. 
Level test will be done online. Website link to reserve a time for the level test will be posted on the IGVC website on Monday 15 March.  Reservation in advance required.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Applicants will be asked to submit a copy (front and back) of their ARC. ARC, SOFA or dipomat ID card must be valid until 16 June 2021. Participants will be asked to bring a copy (front and back) of their documents.  Open to foreign residents aged 18 and over only/ not open to foreign visitors. This program is not open tourist visa holders.

DIRECTIONS to IGVC: Come out exit #2 of Itaewon Station (Line#6, Stop 630), walk straight 200m, and look for the Hannam Building which has a 7-Eleven convenience store on the first floor. The center is on the 5th floor of that building.
