Walking and Running Groups

Hash House Harriers groups have been formed all over the world since the 1930s and there are some all over Korea. They often refer to themselves as a ‘walking club with a drinking problem’. Here is how the hash works: Hares (designated members/volunteers) lay a chalk course through the city (jungle/forest/wherever). The hounds will then follow the trail to the end after which they will repair to the nearest watering hole. Lots of fun to be had by all. The Hash House harriers are bound by the following:
- to promote physical fitness among its members;
- to get rid of weekend hangovers;
- to acquire a good thirst and to satisfy it in beer;
- to persuade the older members that they are not as as old as they feel.
