Some of Korea's online shopping malls are now available in English, especially those that ship internationally and accept foreign credit cards. Here are a few online options for international as well as local shoppers.
CODIBOOK features casual clothing (one/free size or up to L*) as well as accessories, bags, shoes that they will ship internationally. Their website has information in English and offers the option of pricing in a number of currencies.
DABA GIRL (KOODING) offers men and women’s clothing (sizes up to L*) along with accessories, lingerie, fitness clothing, shoes and more. Various payment options available, including foreign credit cards. As with other Kooding sites, many languages available. Free shipping options offered.
HOTPING offers, in addition to clothing (some up to 3XL*), accessories, intimate apparel and shoes. Descriptions available in English. To buy, shoppers must sign-on as a member. Prices on English pages are in USD. Various payment options available, including foreign credit cards. Customs duties for some foreign shipments may be covered by Hotping.
JUST ONE (KOODING) features Korean fashions for women and men (up to XL*) including accessories, bags, fitness clothing, shoes, and more. A wide range of languages available although most non-Korean descriptions may remain in English. Free shipping options may be available.
STYLE NANDA sells women’s clothing (up to Medium*) as well as accessories, swimwear, shoes, skin care and makeup products. The site offers descriptions in English and ships internationally. Must sign-up as a member to order. Various methods of payment accepted.
*NOTE re sizes: Note that the sizes are based on Korean measurements so a Large may actually be a Medium in other markets. If there is a measurement guide on the site, you’ll want to check it out before you order.
France Gourmet offers a variety of French delicacies as well as French-style meat cuts. Product descriptions are available in Korean, English (영어) and French (프어). International credit cards not accepted. France Gourmet recommends access via Internet Explorer due to the payment system it uses.
COSTCO KOREA offers an online order option in English for most of its products, including non-perishable food, clothing, furniture, electronics, and more. Delivery cost are included in the price. You will need an 11-digit membership card and will have to enter your name exactly as it appears on the card. Samsung and Hyundai are the only credit cards Costco accepts. It’s also possible to pay via bank transfer (note: at the time of this posting, bank transfer payments are made via a pop-up window using an Active-X -based security app) and LG U+Pay Now. https://paynowbiz.uplus.co.kr/ Delivery of all products, furniture included, available almost everywhere in the country. Click on Customer Service to find information on delivery, payment, returns, etc. as well as how to contact Costco directly. Email may be best option if you don’t speak Korean.
GMARKET is basically an online department store offering fresh foods (in Korea) and staples as well as accessories, beauty products, electronics, household supplies, shoes, and more. The site also offers a link to some Korean department stores (Galleria, Hyundai, etc). They deliver within Korea and internationally. Gmarket offers a range of payment options for both local and international customers, including Smile Cash, a cyber bank account.
IKEA has bricks & mortar stores in Korea, but they may be hard to get to if you don’t have a car. Online shopping is available on the IKEA Korea website. You’ll find the English page option on the top right of the page. If you don’t see ENGLISH, click on 한국어, which should take you to the English language information. Prices are in KRW and only Korea-issued credit cards are accepted.
