Lost and Found-Mobile Phones

Mobile Phone Lost and Found Center: Korea Post and major mobile phone service providers offer a lost and found service for mobile phones.

If you lose your phone go to the phone finding website where you can check to see if someone has turned your phone in at a post office by entering your cell phone number and some basic information (in English)
- Name
- Passport or ARC (alien registration card) number
- Cell phone number
Here also is the link to the Korean language website for the Mobile Phone Lost and Found Center.

Report your lost phone to your service provider immediately so that you not charged for any calls made on that phone after you lost it.
The service provider may be able to trace the phone's location depending on the type of phone.
English-speakers should be available during business hours (9am - 6pm Mon-Fri), however, you may still need help from a Korean-speaker, especially if the report is made after regular business hours.

Main Service Providers:
KT Olleh 1588-1618 www.olleh.com
LG U+ 1544-0010 www.uplus.co.kr
SK TELECOM 1599-0011 www.tworld.co.kr

If you find a phone you can drop it off at the nearest post office, and you may get a gift certificate for doing so. Note that you can turn the phone in at any post office in the country, but the nearest one to where you found the phone might be most convenient for the person who lost it.
