Free Health Checks - Yongsan Public Health Center

To expand medical services to those who may not be covered by national insurance, the Yongsan Public Health Center is offering free health checks for foreigners that include blood pressure, blood-sugar, liver function, hyper-cholesterol, hepatitis, STD test, blood, and urine tests.
NOTE:
Just remember to bring your ID and do not eat breakfast before you go.
If you go for an exam on a Saturday, there is no Xray.
HOURS: **
Weekdays: 9-11:30am on weekdays
Weekends: 9-11:30am - 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month.
*while the official hours indicate that exams can be done until 1PM, the reality is that it's best to come in by 11:30 since staff may take their lunch hour at Noon.
**walk-ins are accepted.
INFO: 02-2199-8161 (Korean only). Often there is no one at the center who speaks a language other than Korean. You can contact 1339 (medical help line) for assistance while you're at the center.
GETTING THERE: The health center is located in the Yongsan District Office building. Go out Exit 3 of Noksapyeong Station (Line 6, Stop 628). Head toward Itaewon, crossing the street at the light. Right after you cross, turn right, heading toward Banpo Bridge. Walk about 2-3 minutes - the Yongsan District Office is the hug building right by the Crown Hotel.
NOTE:
- some tests may require that one refrain from eating at least 8 hours.
- you must have your ARC - alien registration card- with you.
