Hours: April thru October 10:00 to 19:00 / November thru March 10:00 to 18:00
Closed: Mondays, Jan. 1st, Lunar New Year's & Chuseok (Lunar Thanksgiving) - if holiday falls on a Monday museum is open and closed the following day (Tuesday)

Directions: Take the shuttle bus, operating every half-hour (8:30AM-7:30PM summer / 6:30PM winter), at exit 5 of Daegu Grand Park Station, Daegu subway line 2. Or take bus 604, 849-1, 849, or 403. Get off at the stop for Daegue Art Museum (in Korean: “Daegu Misoolgwan” - 대구미술관 ) . More directions.
Korean Manhwa Museum - 한국만화박물관 (aka Gyujanggak Cartoon Museum)
The Gyujanggak Cartoon Museum preserves and exhibits rare materials from current cartoons and cartoon classics that have historical value.

Hours: 10:00 ~ 18:00 - last admission 17:00 / Closed Mondays, Seollal, Chuseok
Admission: W5,000 Adults / W15,000 Families (2 parents-2 children)
Seoul Subway Line 1 and get off at Songnae Station, Stop 150, Exit #2 to take local bus #37, #5-2 or Bugae Station, Stop 151, Exit #2 to take local bus #79 getting off at the Yeongsang-munhwadanji (~20 minute ride from Songnae and 15 from Bugae). The museum is next to the KOMACON Building

Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art - (영은미술관)
Established in 2000, Youngeun Museum has two sections: an art museum and a studio allowing visitors to enjoy both visual and performing arts.

Hours: 10AM-6PM (may vary depending on exhibiton/performance)
Admission: W6,000 (may vary depending on exhibition/performance)
Directions: From Seoul the only public transit option is the bus sytem. Here are the options:
Bus 1113-1 from Gangbyun Station (Seoul Subway Line 2, Stop 214 )
Bus 1117-1 from Jamsil Station (Seoul Subway Line 2, Stop 216 / Line 8 Stop 814)
Bus 3, 3-1, or 500-2 from Moran Station (Seoul Subway Line 8, Stop 826 / Bundang Line Stop K225)
Get off the bus at Gwangju Chuk Hyup Station and transfer to Bus 35-31 or 38-25. Get off at Songjeong Fire Station. Walk 340m to the Youngeun Museum of Contemporary Art.

Ho-Am Art Museum - 호암미술관
Built in 1982 by Samsung, the museum includes a wonderful example of Korean traditional gardents, Hee Won Garden. HoAm was the pen name of the former head of Samsung, Lee Byung-chull.

Jeonbuk Museum of Art (전북도립미술관)
The Jeonbuk Museum of Art offers various exhibits, collects and preserves works of art, discovers new talent, organizes movie and animation screening events, musical performances, and other experience programs to showcase Jeollabuk-do’s art and culture.
