Vulnerable Sector Screening for English Teachers
As of April 2009, the Korean government has stopped requiring Canadians wishing to teach English in Korea to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Screening Certification. You are, however, still required to submit a Criminal Records check.
The Vulnerable Sector Requirement has been removed from the Korean Embassy/Consulate website in Canada. However, some embassy/consulate officials may still tell applicants that they must obtain a VSS. Speak to your recruiter should that happen or contact the Canadian Embassy - don't argue with the official, but at the same don't worry about it.
