KEB-Korea Exchange Bank, Expat Credit Cards
Foreign residents legally employed in Korea can apply for special Expat credit cards or for regular credit cards. As a KEB Expat card holder you will receive English billing statements, a variety of excellent benefits and privileges as well as a 24hour/365days English information service to resolve any problems you may encounter when using your credit card in Korea.
Overseas use of your KEB credit card:
It is possible to use your KEB Expat credit card outside Korea. When applying for the card just indicate that you want to use it internationally. It is also possible to have your domestic-use-only card changed to allow you to use it outside Korea.
KEB Expat Credit Card options* include:
KEB Expat (Platinum) Card
KEB Global Card
* A comparison chart with details regarding each option is attached.
KEB Credit Card Qualification Criteria:
The criteria describe here is applicable for all Expat cards - Expat, Global, Signature – as well as for domestic card products.
KEB Credit Card Application Process:
You can apply for a KEB credit card either on-line or in person at any KEB Branch.

Deposit-backed Collateral Card:
For those who do not meet all the qualifications required for a credit card, KEB has created a program through which a KEB account holder can deposit a fixed amount in trust to guarantee the credit limit of the credit card issued to her/him by the bank. Check at your branch or at a Global Desk/VIP Center branch for more details.
ADD-ON card:
KEB has created a free ADD-ON card for Expat spouse whereby you can include that request in your initial application form. In this way, your spouse no longer needs to visit the bank in person. You will, however, have to show proof of relationship through your spouse’s alien registration card. The ADD-ON card comes with all the same privileges as your credit card, with the exception of the Priority Pass Card Service.* Note that the credit limit approved on the account will be shared between the primary card-holder and the add-on cardholders. (If the credit limit is W4 million and the credit card holder has spent W3 million, the balance remaining for the add-on cardholder is W1 million.)
*Priority Pass card service is available on Expat and Signature cards. Benefits include free-of-charge access to international airport lounges among other things. Customers can look up the detailed services on www.prioritypass.com.
