Franciscan Foreign Kindergarten, 2-6 year olds, Hannam-dong, Seoul

Franciscan Foreign Kindergarten (FFK) is a certified international kindergarten by the Korean Board of Education, for children aged 2 to 6 years of age located in Hannam-dong.  The Franciscan community has been serving the foreign community in its current location since 1970. We are off the main Hannam-dong street next to the Italian embassy.

FFK is proud to offer the foreign community and their children a safe and loving environment.  Mindful of the example of St. Francis, we want to teach the children love of nature, love of all creation and love of all people in the universal brotherhood.

While our program is traditional and structured, it is also rich, vibrant and child-centered.  Our program provides the students with an outstanding faculty who not only provide sound academics, but warmth and love. Like our diverse multi-ethnic and multi-national student population, our faculty is also diverse. From year to year we have roughly 35 different nations represented at FFK.

Our team of dedicated and graduate teachers (degrees and teaching certificates specifically for this age range), are committed to providing each child with what s/he needs in order to succeed. We understand that fair does not mean giving everyone the same thing.  Each child’s development is different, and through our excellent teacher to student ration we are able to provide the attention each student needs.

Children are able to participate in Music, PE classes each week. In addition, an optional Religious Education class is available for children whose parents wish for them to learn bible stories and basic Christian teachings on Friday mornings.

School hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
A half day program, dismissing at noon, is available for our Play School classes.

Directions to FFK:
Driving: Just over the Hannam bridge towards Itaewon/Yaksu, we are located on the right next to SK gas station. The school is in the red brick building directly behind the bus stop and next to the Italian embassy. Come up the small hill just past the bus stop and turn right at the top. The school entrance is on the right beside the playground. (Please see attached map)
