Korea4Expats has received requests for information on where/how to donate to aid the relief effort in Japan. Following are some suggestions. We will add to the list as we receive more information.

ONLINE DONATIONS - International Agencies:

1.  International Medical Corp, a group of medical professionals,  is mobilizing relief teams and supplies.

2.  Save the Children is an international organisation focusing on the needs of children and families. 

3.  Doctors Without Borders - Doctors Without Borders has  teams in Japan attempting to get to the hardest hit areas by helicopter. Their website explains that a donation to Doctors Without Borders is not necessarily earmarked for Japan. 

4.  Red Cross (Red Crescent)  in your home country or in Korea, we have provided the link to the International Red Cross Directory - here you can find the website for your home country Red Cross or Red Crescent

5.  Mercy Corps has a  Japanese partner - Peace Winds.

6.  Humane Society International has a disaster response team reaching out to key Japanese partner organizations to offer help with animals affected by the disaster.

NOTE: Many international organisations have indicated that if Japan does not need the money raised during this donation period (post-disaster) it will be used for aid in other regions.
