Fun Stuff for the Kids in Seoul (and Mom/Dad too)
If you’re in Seoul over the summer and you’re wondering what to do with the children, check out the following. Although many of the performances and activities are in Korean-only, you’ll find (as you probably already have) that children have a language of their own and that most enjoy the event regardless of whether or not they understand the words.
Adventure with Thomas and Friends provides the children with a space to touch, draw, see and venture into their own creativity while being surrounded by Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends. Venue: COEX Conventioanl Hall (Hall 11) – third floor of the COEX, near exits 5 and 6 of Samseong Station (219). When: 7 July to 19 August. Cost: W12,000 to W15,000. Puss n’ Boots has been re-created as a family musical. Performance at the National Museum of the Korean Theater (located near exit 2 at Inchon Station (430) from 28 July to 19 August (dark on Mondays). For more information, call 02-1544-5955 or click here (Puss n’ Boots info in Korean-only).
Kids Nanta is the story of seven princess making their own recipies told in a rhythmic performance. Performance: 29 July to 26 August at the Seongnam Arts Center (Opera House) located near Exit 1 of Imae Station on the Bundang subway line (227).
