DESCRIPTION: Do you find yourself being overly self-critical? anxious? feeling not quite good enough? annoyed? distressed at the hard time you are giving yourself? …The 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program teaches the skill of motivating oneself with kindness rather than self-criticism. MSC was developed by Chris Germer, clinical psychologist, and Kristin Neff, a pioneer in the scientific study of self-compassion. Scientific evidence shows that self-compassion is a powerful inner resource enabling us to address challenging conditions in our work and home lives and transform them for the better. Rapidly expanding research demonstrates that self-compassion is associated with a wide range of positive psychological factors including enhanced motivation, wellbeing, emotional resilience, reduced stress, anxiety and depression, a stronger immune system, healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and improved relationships.
