SIWFF - Short Film and Video Competition, Deadline 28 Feb 2018

DATE: Submission period 15 January to 28 February 2018 (SIWFF 31 May - 07 June 2018)

DESCRIPTION: The SEOUL International Women's Film Festival (SIWFF) aims to shape and share a positive feminist culture by screening women’s films and leading discussions. In addition, it attempts to discover and support contemporary women filmmakers in Asia, enhancing the visibility of women in the film industry. It also intends to build alliances through women’s films that help us crossing boundaries between different regions, generations, and disciplines and to contribute to increasing the quality of the film production in Korean film industry as well as enriching culture. The 20th SIWFF will be held from 31 May to 07 June 2018 and will showcase the works of women directors all over the world.
The 20th SEOUL International Women’s Film Festival has newly established feature competitive sections to promote more active reproduction of female films. The new feature competitive sections include International Competition & Korean Competition. With four competition sections in total including existing Asian Shorts Competition and I-TEENS, SIWFF will be celebrating its 20th anniversary. The 20th SEOUL International Women’s Film Festival is accepting submissions for the four competitive sections introduced above and non-competitive sections..

ENTRY CONDITONS: See the submission website for details. Download and fill out Entry Form and send the form via e-mail to arrive by February 28 to submission@siwff.or.kr.
Note: Include Online Preview Link in the entry form (DVD screener is not acceptable).  English subtitles must be provided if the original language of the film is not English

For Asian Shorts Competition: Films must have been completed after June 1, 2017
For the other sections: Films must have been completed after January 1, 2017
For competition: Films must be by a female director
The length of a film should be less than 40mins for short and longer than 60mins for feature

International Competition:
-   Golden Wolf Award (Best Film): USD 20,000 cash award and a trophy
-   Silver Wolf Award (Best Director): USD 10,000 cash award and a trophy
-  Crystal Wolf Award (Special Jury Prize): USD 5,000 cash award and a trophy   

Korean Competition:
-  Purple Wolf Award (Best Korean Film): KRW 1 million cash award and a trophy

Asian Shorts Competition:
-  Howling Wolf Award (Best Film): KRW 6 million cash award and a trophy
-  Flying Wolf Award (Best Director): KRW 4 million cash award and a trophy
-  Audience Award: A trophy
