Travel Groups Within Korea
These non-profit travel organisations provide expats with the opportunity to learn about Korean culture and history.
Royal Asiatic Society provides an excellent way to learn about and experience Korean culture. The RAS holds lectures twice a month at the Somerset Palace on a variety of cultural, historic and current Korean issues/topics. The lectures are presented in English by a wide range of foreign and Korean experts. Tours take place on weekends - sometimes one-day only, other times Saturday and Sunday. Bus tours often depart from Yongsan Post Office (우체국 = pronounced Yongsan ouchaegouk) The RAS has a selection of English language books on Korea and is a major source of information, in English, on the country's history and culture. www.raskb.com or email: raskb@kornet.net Tel. 02-763-9483.
