Swimming Pools - Seoul
There are few outdoor public swimming pools in Seoul. The few there are open only in summer and are usually quite crowded. The Hyatt Hotel and the Seoul Club have outdoor pools, but they are restricted to hotel guests or club members and their guests.
Following are a few options:
Hangang Park has a number of outdoor swimming pools that are open from end June/early July to near end August. The admission fee is 3,000 won for children, 4,000 won for teenagers, and 5,000 won for adults. Credit cards are accepted. The pools are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. or later on particularly hot nights.

Madeul Green Park Outdoor Swimming Pool is open from 9am-6pm. Admission fee: Adults: 8,000won, Children: 6,000won. Address: Sanggye 6 dong, Nowon-gu. Getting there: Get off at Junggye station (stop 714) ,exit 5, walk for 10 mins. Info:02-932-2883
The Hamilton Hotel pool is another outdoor option. Costs are W10,000 during the week and W12,000 on Saturday and Sunday. For more info call 02-794-0171. This pool is for adults - one must 18 y-o-a or older.
The Sheraton Walker Hill opens its outdoor pool to non-members during the summer. For more info call 02-453-0121
Indoor Swimming Pools:
Olympic Park Swimming Center is situated at Car Park 5 of the Olympic Park complex and boasts a fifty-meter, ten-lane pool, diving pool and five-lane warm up pool. It is open to the public for serious swimming only. (Website in Korean only) K4E Note: This pool has apparently undergone few renovations since it was opened in 1988.
Caribbean Bay at Everland is a great place to take the children. Swimming caps are required. There are also sauna and spa facilities here.
Lotte World Complex has swimming pools with slides and diving areas. Membership or daily rates are available. K4E Note: This poo/sauca area is currently closed for renovations. We do not know yet if there will still be a pool when the facility re-opens.
