International Student Identity Card
The International Student Identity Card (ISIC) gives students access to discounts and services in Korea (and around the world). Students can use it to take advantage of discount offers on travel, shopping, museums and more. There are two types – a basic ID card and a bank card. Note that the bank card can only be used in Korea. Places in Korea where discounts are available to ISIC holders are listed on the ISIC website. The ISI card issued in Korea has a 13-month validity.
Any full-time university student regardless of nationality is eligible for the card in Korea. Full-time student status usually means a minimum of 15 hours of study a week, for a minimum of 12 weeks per year. You need to provide proof of your student status with a student visa or school letter & tuition remittance receipt. Minimum age: For the basic card, 12 years of age and for the bank card, 14 years of age.
