Noraebang Machine Functions Translations

This is the translation for the noraebang (karaoke) remote controls of the two major manufacturers;  
금영 (KY) and 태진  (Taejin). If you're not familiar with the Korean Noraebang (singing Rooms) Culture, see our description in Activities - Noraebang.

KY (금영) REMOTE CONTROL (KRC-D8000A)
 
남/여 – Voice pitch for men/women respectively
1절 – First verse only
템포 – Increase/decrease tempo (speed)
음정 – Raise/lower the pitch of the melody by half a note/key
마디점프 – Skip a bar
간주점프 – Skip instrumental
가수 메들리, 행사곡, 댄스 메들리 – Artist/musician medley, event music, dance medley
애창 메들리 – A medley of old 80’s Korean songs
멜로디 – Modify the melody

나의 애창곡 – A list of 70s~90s Korean songs

제목별 – Search according to title/name of the song
국가별 – Search according to country (Normally divided into Korean, Pop, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino and other)
가수별 – Search according to artist/musician

디스코 – Change it to a disco beat
신곡 – A list of new songs (songs that have been recently released or recently added to the database)
오디션 – Audition
녹음 – Record
배경영상 – Background video clip

한/영 – Change the keyboard input from Korean to English/English to Korean

예약 – Put a song on the waiting list
우선 예약 – Put a song on the waiting list, but first in line (Do this only if you are about to leave or if you really want to tick your friends off)
예약취소 – Remove a song from the waiting list (deletes the one that has been added most recently)

시작 – Start
취소 – Cancel the current song, exit the search menu or any other menu that pops up 

TAEJIN (태진 ) REMOTE CONTROL– TKR-650IR 

이전/다음 – use this key to scroll up/down a page on a search menu

오리지날, 테크노, 디스코1, 디스코2 – Buttons used to change the rhythm/beat to original, techno, disco1, disco2 -respectively

간주 점프 – Skip instrumental
마디점프 – Skip a bar
절점프 – Skip a verse
남/여 – Voice pitch for men/women respectively
템포 – Increase/decrease tempo (speed)
음정 – Raise/lower the pitch of the melody by half a note/key

신곡안 – A list of new songs (songs that have been recently released or recently added to the database)
인기챠트 – Menu that has the list of ‘most frequently played’ songs
코러스제거 – Remove chorus (backup vocals)

애창디스코,행사곡, 애창백선, 디스코메들리, 신세대메들리, 부르스메들리, 카바레메들리 – These are all Korean 70s~90s medleys and songs

점수제거 – Remove evaluation (The screen that pops up with numbers and a weird melody at the end of each song)
박수 - Applause

에코음량 – Increase/decrease echo/reverb/delay
마이크음량 – Increase/decrease microphone volume
반주음량 – Increase/decrease instrumental volume

예약 – Put a song on the waiting list
우선 예약 – Put a song on the waiting list, but first in line (Do this only if you are about to leave or if you really want to tick your friends off)
예약취소 – Remove a song from the waiting list (deletes the one that has been added most recently)
예약확인 – Check the list of songs in the waiting list

국가별검색 – Search according to country (Normally divided into Korean, Pop, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino and other)
가수/제목 – Search according to artist/musician or title/name of the song (toggle switching between artist and title by pressing this button again)
