Medical Referral Service- TERMINATED 2012

This 24-hour Medical Referral Service is available by calling 010-4769-8212 or 010-8750-8212. (Note: emergency calls only from 20:00 to 8:00) .The calls are taken by medically trained, English speaking Foreign (mainly) with medical backgrounds and Korean volunteers. The service is in English only. You can also reach the MRS via email: medicalreferral@seoul.go.kr.
Medically trained, English speaking staff provides information and recommendations on medical facilities and services. The MRS team has striven to provide quality medical information by regularly visiting medical facilities that offer medical services to foreigners. The team constantly seeks to make improvements through feedback from foreigners. Hours: regular hours (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), emergency only (8 p.m. to 8 a.m.).
Originally begun by the volunteer expat organization FOCUS (Foreigners’ Community Service) as the Medical and Counseling Emergency Hotline, the service was taken over by SMG in 2004 when the FOCUS board determined that the organisation was no longer needed. MRS is now run by the Seoul Gobal Center.
