Free Hotel Shuttle Buses - Seoul

Some of the major hotels offer a free shuttle service between their location and certain areas within the city. Although the service is for hotel guests, the shuttle buses are generally not full so they may provide an alternate source of transport for expat visitors and residents. 

Ambassador Sofitel Hotel - 2275-1101
Route: Takes you to Hanok Maeul (Hanok village), Myeong-dong by Migliore, Namdaemun Market,  Lotte Department Store, Press Center (next to City Hall), Youngpoong Bookstore, Insa-dong (at Burger King near YBM), Dongdaemun Market, back to hotel
Schedule: The shuttle leaves the hotel every 90 minutes between 8AM and 9:30PM offering both pick-up and drop-off service at each point along its route. Roughly the stops are as follows: Hanok Village about 5/7minuts from hotell, Myeong-dong another 5/10 minutes, Namdaemun about 10 minutes, Lotte about 10 minutes, Press about 5/7 minutes, Youngpoong about 5 minutes, Insa-dong another 5/10 minutes, Dongdaemun about 10/15 minutes. These are approximate times only and can vary depending on traffic, etc. The hotel does not keep track of where exactly the shuttle bus is along its route so best to arrive a little earlier and wait if you're taking it from one of the stops.

Grand Hilton Hotel - 3216-5656
Route: Takes you to Gwangwhamun, by Westin Chosun and Itaewon. Also runs from Hongje Station (#324 to the hotel.
Schedule: Leaves from in front of hotel every hour on the hour between 9AM and 10PM, Monday thru Sunday.
Route: Hotel - Sejong Center (10/15 min) - accross from Westin Chosun Hotel (~5/10 min) - Itaewon in front of McDonalds about 15 minutes later, on the half hour - leaves Itaewon 30 past the hour - arrives Starbucks beside Westin Chosun in about 10/15 min - gets to stop beside US Embassy in Gwangwhamun about 5/10 min later - stops at Hongje Subway Station (Exit 1) at anywhere between 15 and 5 minutes to the hour - goes on to the hotel.

Grand Hyatt Hotel Itaewon - 797-1234
Route: Takes you to Itaewon high street and to Myeong-dong
Schedule: one shuttle per hour from 10AM to 9PM (based on departure time from Grand Hyatt). Departs from of Hotel on the hour - arrives Itaewon about 5 minutes later - back to hotel in about 5 minutes - trip to Myeongdong takes about 10 minutes - back to hotel about 10-15 minutes.
Route: Grand Hyatt-Hamilton Hotel(Itaewon)-Grand Hyatt -Myeongdong (in front of Migliore)-Grand HyattSchedule: 15 minute intervals, one bus per hour.

Millenium Hilton Hotel (Namdaemun) - 753-7788
Routes: Takes you to Itaewon and to Myeong-dong/Dongdaemun
Itaewon Shuttle:
Schedule/Route: Starts at 10AM with last departure from hotel at 9PM (lunch break 1PM no bus). Arrives in front of McDonald's in Itawon at about 15-20 past the hour. Drop-off and Pic-up at that time. Returns to hotel in about 20 minutes.
Myeongdong/Dongdaemun Shuttle:
Schedule/ Route: This is a drop-off service only. Leaves the hotel at 10AM, 2PM 4PM, 6PM and 8PM. From hotel to Myeongdong (accross from Yong Plaza) takes about 10-15 minutes with about another 10 minutes to get to Dongdaemun (accross from Migliore)

Seoul Plaza Hotel - 771-2200
Route: Travels between the hotel and Itaewon
Schedule: Shuttle operates four times a day leaving the hotel from the back entrance at 10:30AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM and 4:30PM. Arrives in Itaewon in about 15 minutes. Drop-off is in front of McDonalds. Pick-up is from that location at 10:45AM, 12:45PM, 2:45PM and 4:45PM

Shilla Hotel - 2233-3131
Route: Takes you to Dongdaemun, Myeongdong Stn Exit 8, Starbucks by Euljiro Subway, Young Plaza next to Lotte Department Store, Shinsaege Department Store.
Schedule: The shuttle leaves the hotel starting at 9:30AM, next is 10:30AM, from 11:30AM to 6:30PM runs every 30 minutes. Last buses are at 8PM and 9PM. The hotel does not keep track of exactly where the shuttle bus is on its route. The distance between stops is about 5/10 minutes, so best to arrive a little earlier although you may have to wait a little depending on traffic conditions.

W Hotel & Sheraton Walker Hill - 455-5000
Route: Takes you to and from the Gwangnaru (stop 546) and Gangbyeon (stop 214) Subway Stations
Schedule: Runs every 10 minutes from 6:10AM to 11:20PM from the driveway of the W Hotel.
To get to hotel from Gwangnaru Stn go out Exit 2, cross the street at the crosswalk, turn left and look for the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel bus stop sign. From Gangbyeon Stn go out Exit 1 and catch the shuttle at the stop in front of TechnoMart.

Westin Chosun Hotel - 771-0500
Route: Travels between the hotel and Itaewon
Schedule: Drop-off: leaves front of hotel (to the left of the doors)  for Itaewon at 11AM, 1:30PM, 4PM, 6PM and 8PM. Arrives at Itaewon stop  (accross from McDonalds in front of NorthFace shop) in about 20 minutes. No pick-up at this time.
Pick-up: in front of NorthFace, accross from McDonalds at 12:30PM, 3PM, 5PM and 9PM 

K4E Note: Schedules can change and there can be service interruptions, so always check with the hotel to confirm the schedule and to ensure that the shuttle is running when you want to use it. You'll also want to make sure that the drop-off/pick-up point is the same as indicated above.
