Korea has both college and professional (KNFL) teams playing American football. The sport still trails baseball and soccer (football) in popularity with the public, but it has become increasingly popular in the past few years.
There are two divisions in the league - college (~36 teams) and professional (~6 teams). Each division has its own championship: Tiger Bowl for the college league and the Gwangaeto Bowl for the professional league. The Kimchi Bowl pits the college Tiger Bowl winning team against the professional Gwangaeto Bowl winning team.
The Korea American Football Association (KAFA - 대한미식축구협회) began about 20 years ago and currently allows a maximum of 5 foreign players per team.
The Warriors is an expat American football team that has recently gained the right to compete in the Korean National Football League (as of Fall 2011). The 30+ Warrior team includes members from a number of countries, including Australia, Canada, the U.S. and Korea, who vary in skill set from 1st time players to some who have tried out for professional teams. They meet once a week between April and june and then from late August to November.
