ABOUT US
Having enjoyed American Cuisine during her time in the United Stated, owner Suji Park decided to re-create some of her American food experiences in her own restaurants in Itaewon first. (See below for information on other locations).
At the heart of Suji’s Restaurant is simplicity - authentic food, genuine relationships & comfortable surroundings. Our dedication to these core beliefs have served us well from our beginnings at a basement shop in Itaewon, Korea to the launching of three more restaurants in Korea and Japan just three years later. A place to call your own when traveling or living abroad is a difficult prospect for many. Having lived abroad for nearly a decade, we realized that home’s simple pleasures are what we missed most. So we wanted to create an inviting space with all the favorite menu items from home served to our customers by sincere people.
Our menu comprises a who’s who of American comfort fare - Meatloaf, Reubens, Eggs Benedict, Steak & Eggs – with an extensive brunch menu to entice everyone’s imagination. We import a great deal of ingredients to maintain authentic flavors and incorporate locally grown produce to guarantee freshness and to support local farmers.
We’ve all had our favorite corner deli, coffee shop, neighborhood bar and quaint eatery to kick back and to chat with a familiar face. Suji’s embodies these places, but infuses our own sense of friendship and open-heartedness to our patrons, many of whom are now our friends. This aspect of our business truly makes our efforts seem purposeful and our lives fulfilling.
