Point Cards - Bookstores

There are three major bookstore chains in Korea: Kyobo, Bandi & Luni’s and YongPoong. Following is information on each of their point cards.

Bandi & Luni’s Point Card*
Eligibility: Everyone – no restrictions, no ID requirements, etc.
How to Apply for the Card: Go to CS Center of Bandi&Luni’s then fill out registration form. You will take the card on site. The registration form is not written in English, but staffs can speak English.
How to Earn and Use POINTS: Points are earned through purchases – the percentage of the purchase that is translated into points depends on your membership level - 3% 5%, 100%. Points can be used when paying for books.

Membership Levels: There are 3 membership levels (Platinum, Gold and General). Your accumulated purchases since your membership start date determines your level. To maintain the same level, you need exceed the standard annual spending level each year. To identify your level, visit the Bandi & Luni CS center.
Following are the membership levels and requirement for each:
Platinum: accumulated spending of over 1,000,000won with previous year’s purchases exceeding 500,000 won or more than 10 purchases.
Gold: accumulated spending of over 1,000,000 won with previous year’s spending esceeding 400,000 won.
General: No requirements

Benefits:
Platinum: Additional 2% of spending is accumulated as points when purchasing online / 5% of spending is accumulated as points.
Gold: Additional 2% of spending is accumulated as points when purchasing online.
General: No special benefits at this level.

Kyobo Book Club Card*
Eligibility: Everyone – no restrictions, no ID requirements, etc.

How to Apply for the Card: Go to CS Center of Kyobo then fill out registration form. You will take the card on site. The registration form is not written in English, but staffs can speak English.
How to Earn and Use POINTS: Whenever you buy books, you earn 3% of the purchase in points that can be used toward your next book purchase.

Membership Levels: There are 3 membership levels (Platinum, Prime and General). Your purchases of the previous 6 months determine your membership level. To see your level, visit the Kyobo CS center. Membership levels and requirements are:
Platinum: spent 600,000 won in the past 6 months
Prime: spent between 200,000 won and 600,000 in the past 6 months
General: spent less than 200,000 won in the past 6 months

Benefits:
Platinum: Online discount coupon up to 5,000won / Free delivery service / Free parking for 2hrs / One digital contents free coupon.
Prime: Online discount coupon up to 3,000 won / Free delivery service / Free parking for 2hrs / One digital contents 50% discount coupon.
General: no ongoing benefits

YoungPoong Point Card*
Eligibility: Everyone – no restrictions, no ID requirements, etc.
How to Apply for the Card: Go to YoungPoong’s CS Center (one in each store) and tell staff that you want a YoungPoong membership. They will help type up your membership card – there is no form to fill out. You will have to complete the process by registering online using the number of the card you’ve received. 
How to Earn and Use POINTS: Whenever you buy books, you earn 3%, 5% or 6% (depending on your membership level) of the purchase in points that can be used toward your next book purchase.

Membership Levels:There are 3 membership levels (Platinum, Gold and General) depending on your accumulated purchases over the last 3 months. To see your level, a YoungPoong CS center. Membership levels and requirements are:
Platinum: spending over 300,000 won in the past 3 months
Prime: spending between 100,000 won and 300,000 in the past 3 months
General: spending less than 100,000 won in the past 3 months

Benefits:
Platinum: Three free 2-hr parking coupons / 4% discount on stationary.
Gold: Two free 2-hr parking coupons / 3% discount on stationary.
General: One free 2-hr parking coupon / 1% discount on stationary.
