Bike Trail - Yeouido

Bike Trail - Yeouido

DESCRIPTION:  Yeouido is considered the Mecca for bicycle riding in Seoul. The road from Yeouido along the Olympic Road (southern banks of the Hangang River) is always bustling with people and the course from Yeouido past Gangnam to Amsa-dong (25km) is frequented by bicycle riders, marathon runners, and inline skaters, particularly on the weekends. Since these courses are flat and well-paved, they are a good option for beginner bike riders as well.

ROUTE: Starting from Yeouido and traveling along the Olympic Road, you’ll go past the 17 bridges that go across the Hangang River as well as travel through numerous riverside parks. Though far from a solitary ride, it’s somehow heartwarming to see others out too, enjoying the river. Even when the Olympic Road is congested, the parallel bicycle road has a good flow, so this route is also a favorite among commuters. The road from Yeouido to Amsa-dong is 25 kilometers long and takes 4 to 5 hours round trip. Though long, the road is quite interesting and worth trying.
