The Airport Railroad Express (AREX) began operating between Seoul Station and Incheon International Airport at the end of December 2010. 

There are two types of trains - a commuter train and an express/non-stop train.

Commuter Train:
- stops at 9 stations between Seoul Station (일반) and Incheon Airport (직통) - see below
- stations now open: 
Seoul (서울) -Lines 1 & 4 /  
Gongdeok (공덕) Lines 5   / 
Hongik University (홍대입구) Line 2 /
Digital Media City (디지털미디어시티) Line 6 / 
Gimpo International Airport (김포공항) Lines 5 & 9 / 
Gyeyang (계양) Line 1 / 
Geomam (검암) line 2 / /
Unseo (운서)  / Incheon International Airport Cargo Terminal (공항화물청사)  / 
Incheon International Airport (인천국제공항). 

- stations not yet opened:
Gongdeok (공덕)  Line 6 to open Dec 2012
Cheongna (청라) to open 2014

Time: 53 minutes
Start Time: 5:20 am from Incheon International Airport (stops just after 11 pm)
Cost: 3,700 won

Express/Non-stop Train:
- no stops between Seoul Station and Incheon International Airpot
- Time: 43 minutes
- Start Time: 5:30 am from Incheon International Airport (stops just after 11 pm)
- Cost: 13,300 won

Airport Terminal Service at Seoul Station
Korean Air, Asiana Airlines or Jeju Air can check in when they arrive at Seoul Station. The airline counters are located on the Basement-2 floor of Korail Airport Railroad Seoul Station.
Hours: 5:20am to 7:00pm
Check-in: 3 hours prior to flight departure (less than 3 hours, travellers can check-in at airport)
Cost: free use for those taking the Express Train to the airport / 3,000 one for commuter train travellers.
