What can I do if forget something in a taxi?
You have a number of options, if the driver didn't notice your lost item (phone, briefcase, etc) and come back to the building where you were dropped off to return it to you. (NB some will do this if the people is one where they could find you such as an embassy, etc.).
You can contact the taxi owner (sometimes the same as the driver) if you asked for a receipt before exiting the cab. On the receipt is the owner's telephone number as well as other information identifying the vehicle. You will likely need a Korean speaker to help you.
For items lost in a taxi, visit the Korean Web sites www.spta.or.kr (Seoul Private Taxi Association) or Seoul Taxi Association at http://www.stj.or.kr/customer_03_1.html (both sites are in Korea only, so you'll need some help).
You can also ask a Korean-speaking person to call the office of the Seoul Taxi Transportation Association, (02) 420-6110~9, or the office of the Seoul Private Taxi Association, (02) 415-9521~5
