Is there any place where I can donate stuff we don't wear, but that is in good condition?

Yes, there are a few options, including

Goodwill Collection Bin at the Hannam-dong/Itaewon Global Village Center in Itaewon. You can drop off small household items and clothing (must be clean and in good condition) during business hours.

Second Hand Rose Thrift Shop – if you have access to the US military base or know someone who can get you on (or deliver the stuff for you) – you can donate your clothes there. (Note: AWC members can also consign, but you will have to make an appointment). For more info on donating or consigning, call 02-795-7675 on Monday or Saturday 10AM to 3PM or Wednesday 10AM to 6PM. Monies earned at the Thrift Shop, which is operated by the American Women’ Club, are shared between community service projects for the military and Korean charities.

The Beautiful Store, a Korean-run secondhand chain, takes clothing donations: 02-3676-1009 (For English try Ms. Won Ext 269 – if she is not there, you may need a Korean-speaker to translate). The Beautiful Store can sometimes pick up from you, depending on the amount of stuff you have. You do need to make arrangements in advance.

Salvation Army will pick up a wide range of large and small items. You may need help from a Korean-speaker to make arrangements.

For more options and details on the above, see the K4E information page on recycling and second hand outlets.
