Is it true that I can be denied access to a swimming pool or public bath because of my tattoos?

Yes, it can happen. However, foreign nationals with tattoos are generally admitted where an ethnic Korean might not be. This is not the norm these days, but it does happen. For more on tattoos in Korea,  or click on About Korea then Modern Life.
