If I don't have Health Insurance, can I still get medical care?
Free health check ups are available in community health centers around the country. One that is used to dealing with foreign patients in the Yongsan Public health Center where foreigners can get health checks that
include blood pressure, blood-sugar, liver function, hyper-cholesterol, hepatitis, STD test, blood, and urine tests. Just remember to bring your ID and do not eat breakfast before you go. You can get the check done between 9-11:30am on weekdays and on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. The health center is located at the old Yongsan District Office complex about 400m from exit 2 of Hyochang Park Station (Line#6, Stop 627). It is also possible to take the 110 bus from Itaewon and get off at the Yongsan Public Health Center - former Yongsan District Office stop (용산 보건소 Yongsan Bo-geon-so).
