It is possible to replace the tank, in some cases for less than it would cost to get one re-filled. Some people have used a service reached at one of the two following numbers (same business): 2297-7799 and 2298-4433. Someone who speaks Korean will have to make the call, though. Depending on where you live, they arrive within about 30 minutes on a motorbike, gas tank in hand. The cost is less than W25,000. It’s also possible to get a tank from Haddon House Supermarket (in Hannam-dong near UN Village), but it will cost you significantly more (closer to W100,000 – W125,000). Some gas stations will also refill the tanks, but you will have to leave it there for a few days, or at least overnight. The cost may be around W40/50,000.
