I don't speak Korean. How can I use the ATM?

Since 2002, the year of the World Cup in Korea/Japan (soccer/football), most ATM’s in Korea have had an English menu giving foreigners/non-Korean speakers access to a limited number of transactions in English as well as Chinese and Japanese. However, you may run across some steps in the process that are in Korean-only not to worry. Either the security person or a teller will help you (during banking hours) or another customer.

In fact, some banks (KEB) offer the option of ATM transactions in a number of different languages.

Korea4Expats offers a translation of ATM functions since a number of transactions are still available in Korean only. You can more information and translations by clicking on the Daily Life tab and then on Banking, Money Matters.
