How hard should we haggle/bargain when shopping in Korea?

Contrary to the practice of vendors in other Asian countries, Koreans don’t really like to bargain all that much, except sometimes with other Koreans. There is usually a margin of about 20% in the traditional markets or sidewalk stalls. However, if you offer too low a price in the vendor’s estimation, he/she may refuse to sell to you or even raise the price. Keeping their pride (saving face) can sometimes be more important than making a sale in Korea.
