Generally business give gifts to their clients (to those who have generated money for them). Your realtor will often give you a gift box of some kind each year.
If you're the 'boss' you are expected to give a gift to your immediate staff. For example your assistant, your driver, etc. In your home, if you have home help, s/he will expect a gift, especially if s/he is Korean. The same applies if you have a guard at your building, etc.
Some people also will give something (money generally) to people who regularly do them a service (be it part of their job or not). For example, I always gave to the attendant who parked my car at the supermarket I used to go to - it was always the same person, an elderly man and he was very helpful with carrying bags, protecting my car, etc.
Ultimately, the choice is yours as to the 'who' and 'what'. As expats, we are not subject to the same pressures and expectations as Koreans.
