Food Eating

Is there a particular reason why Koreans eat bindaetteok on rainy days?

There is no particular reason, other than the usual reasons one eats certain types of 'comfort' foods at certain times. It may be because when it's raining people often seek shelter and a place that sells bindaetteok (a kind of fried patty/pancake) that can be made and eaten quickly was an easy choice.

Included among these quick and easy 'patties' are bindaetteok, which is made from mung beans, kimchijeon (from kimchi), guljeon (oysters), pajeon (green onion) and gamjajeon (potato) - a favourite among expats as well as Koreans.
